The ideal candidate must be proficient in a series of welding tests including 3/32" 6011 and 6010 electrodes, as well as 1/16" flux core on 3/8" carbon steel plate. The Fitter Welder should be capable of producing butt welds with a 1/8" groove, square edge (no bevel) on plates. Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate first-class torch cutting ability and be able to wash welds with a torch.
- Perform welding tests using 3/32" 6011 and 6010 electrodes, as well as 1/16" flux core on 3/8" carbon steel plate.
- Produce butt welds with a 1/8" groove, square edge (no bevel) on plates in accordance with specifications.
- Demonstrate superior torch cutting ability and proficiency in washing welds with a torch.
- Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the welding process.
- Proven experience in welding using 6011 and 6010 electrodes, as well as flux core on carbon steel plate.
- Ability to pass welding tests for butt welds with a 1/8" groove, square edge (no bevel) on plates.
- Excellent torch cutting skills and the ability to wash welds with a torch.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to welding standards and specifications.
