As we continue to expand our presence in the Laurel Fork, NC area, we are seeking a skilled and dependable Crane Operator to join our team.

Position Overview:As a Crane Operator at Structural Technologies, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects by operating an S70 Derrick Crane with precision and safety. You will be responsible for executing lifts, moving heavy materials, and ensuring the efficient functioning of the crane during construction activities at our Laurel Fork site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the S70 Derrick Crane in a safe and efficient manner, following all manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections on the crane, ensuring it is in optimal working condition and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to plan and execute lifts, considering site conditions and load capacities.
  • Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents, protect personnel, and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with ground crew and signalers to ensure seamless and safe crane movements.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily crane operations, including lift details, maintenance records, and safety checks.
  • Assist in the assembly and disassembly of the crane as needed.
  • Report any incidents, near misses, or equipment malfunctions promptly to the site supervisor.
  • Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated with the latest safety protocols and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Crane Operator, operating S70 Derrick Cranes or similar models.
  • Valid crane operator certification and all necessary licenses required by local and state regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of crane load charts, rigging practices, and safe lifting procedures.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and depth perception for precise crane movements.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Strong focus on safety and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends when project demands require it.
Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $40 per hour
