Job Description

Bechtel Construction Company (BCC) delivers projects across North America in partnership with the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU). BCC Craft Professionals are affiliated with the Building Trades Union corresponding to their skilled trade and perform work across a range of construction and industrial projects.  

BCC is currently sourcing potential candidates for the Natrium Project in Kemmerer, Wyoming. The Project will consist of a 345MWe nuclear power plant based on Natrium technology. Submitted information will be shared with the appropriate Building Trades Union Hall, which will contact qualified craft professionals based on project needs.   

Job Summary   

Project Location: Kemmerer, Wyoming   

Base Wage: $30.00 / Hour    

*Depending on qualifications. 

PLUS PENSION, HEALTH AND WELFARE 

*Wages are determined through collective bargaining agreements.   

Per Diem: $ (pending) / (pending) 

*Individuals can discuss additional benefits with the corresponding Union Hall.

Responsibilities:    

  • Operates a variety of power-driven construction equipment, including compressors, pumps, hoists, derricks, cranes, shovels, tractor scrapers, and motor graders, to excavate, move, and grade earth; erect structural or reinforcing steel; and place or finish concrete and paving materials.  
  • Operate assigned construction equipment to excavate, move, grade, load, or spread earth, materials, or equipment.  
  • Turn valves to control air and water output of compressors and pumps.  
  • Adjust hand wheels, levers, and pedals to drive machines and control attachments such as blades, buckets, scrapers, and swing booms.  
  • Control levelers and equipment pedals to lower, raise, swing, scoop, or dump materials.  
  • Adjust blade or attachment positions to achieve proper grade or alignment.  
  • Observe hand signals, grade stakes, and other guidance to ensure safe and accurate operations.  
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, including cleaning, greasing, fueling, and oiling.  
  • Inspect equipment and report defects or maintenance needs.  
  • Follow all safety, quality, and project work requirements.

  • Work for extended periods in hot or cold environments.
