Job Description Cedar Park Group is hiring experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for a solar farm project in Pine Plains, NY. This role involves operating CAT 200-series excavators (or similar) and skid steers to support electrical trenching and underground utility installation.

Schedule / Shift
  • Monday - Friday
  • 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
  • Full-time hours
  • Project-based assignment with immediate start
Position Overview

As a Heavy Equipment Operator on this solar project, you will perform trenching and excavation work for electrical line installation while following direction from site supervision. This role requires strong equipment operating skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in an outdoor construction environment.
Responsibilities
  • Operate CAT 200-series excavators or similar equipment
  • Operate skid steer for site support and material movement
  • Perform trenching and excavation for electrical line installation
  • Follow layout direction and excavation depth requirements from supervisors
  • Maintain safe operating practices and awareness of underground utilities
  • Conduct basic equipment checks and report mechanical concerns
  • Support overall crew productivity and project timelines
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of heavy equipment operating experience
  • Experience with excavation and trenching for electrical or utility work
  • Ability to follow direction from supervisors and work as part of a crew
  • OSHA 10 required
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
