Service Technician Needed! (Journeyman)

Service Tech Needed!

Work will consist of installation, alterations, equipment operation, additions and/or repairs of electrical
systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical
industry, including but not limited to: Underground/Site, Branch, Distribution, Temporary Power, Controls,
and Grounding.

Performs all electrical tasks with minimal supervision. Service Techs may be part of a crew or the lead person
directing the crew.

Requirements:

• Electrical – Journeyman License
• Current Driver’s License* and/or have reliable transportation

Qualifications:

• Positively identifies colors of wires.
• Comprehends reading, understands drawings for all disciplines, and schematics.
• Bends conduit by hand with hand benders.
• Must use all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and knockout punches.
• Capable of digging trenches either by use of hand tools or power equipment.
• Operates two (2) handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jack hammers.
• Operates company trucks with company approval*.
• Capable of working or operating mechanical personnel lifts (electric or gas powered).
• Work energized circuits and equipment with company management approval as outlined in the
• Cummings Electrical Construction Safety Policy.
• Practices and comprehends safe work procedures as outlined in Cummings Electrical Safety Policy
  Handbook, Haz-Com Policy, and Lockout/Tagout Policy.
