Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator/Class A CDL Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and transporting various types of heavy machinery to assists in construction, excavation, and site development projects. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and skid steers
Perform tasks including digging, grading, trenching, material handling, loading/unloading and transporting heavy equipment
Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance on equipment
Follow all safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment
Read and interpret site plans, blueprints, and grade stakes
Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and other operators
Identify and report equipment/vehicle malfunctions or job site hazards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
Proven experience operating heavy equipment & transporting heavy equipment/materials safely (construction or similar industry)
Valid & Clean CDL Class A driver's license
Knowledge of equipment maintenance and safety procedures
Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Preferred Skills
Experience with GPS and grade control systems
Heavy Hauling with lowboy
Problem solving abilities
Foreward thinking
OSHA certification or other safety training
Ability to perform minor equipment repairs
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and operate machinery for extended periods
Capable of lifting up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]
Good hand-eye coordination and depth perception
Work Environment
Outdoor construction sites with exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions
May require overtime depending on project needs
Compensation:
