GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced Pile Foundation Foreman in Prairieville, LA. The Rate of Pay is up to $32 an hour, depending on experience, including Per Diem, which is $50.00 a day, every day worked. The Schedule will be Monday-Friday, depending on travel and location, from 4:00 AM to ending. You will be traveling 75-100 percent of the time. Traveling could be 10-12 consecutive days (or longer) on the road and 3-4 days back home. Hotels will be covered for the travel duration.
Position Summary:
In this position, you will be responsible for supervising field crews and overseeing the safe, productive, and quality-driven execution of deep pile foundation work related to electrical pole foundations and utility infrastructure. The Foreman plays a critical role in translating project plans into on-the-ground action, managing crews, and ensuring compliance with safety and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of crew members on assigned job sites
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and proactively identify and mitigate risks
- Interpret project drawings, plans, and specifications to guide field operations
- Operate and oversee the use of pile driving, vibratory hammer, and drill shaft equipment
- Maintain and inspect tools, machinery, and safety gear to ensure functionality and compliance
- Ensure foundation installations meet quality, schedule, and specification standards
- Document and report daily progress to the Superintendent or Project Manager
- Serve as the main point of contact for on-site crew direction and coordination
- Communicate with vendors or suppliers for material and equipment needs
- Troubleshoot field issues and escalate unresolved or complex problems as necessary
- Lead morning safety meetings and toolbox talks
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship to crew members to support growth and accountability
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in heavy civil, utility, or foundation construction
- At least 1 year of experience in a supervisory or lead role, with proven ability to manage a team
- Demonstrated knowledge of deep foundation methods, including vibratory and drilled shaft installations
- Familiarity with project drawings and electric utility pole foundation requirements
- Ability to lead by example with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and quality
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- OSHA 10 required or willing to obtain; OSHA 30 preferred
- TWIC card required or receipt
- Valid Class D driver’s license or willing to obtain after accepting employment
- Vibratory foundation installation and drill shaft installation
- Willing to submit to a drug screen, alcohol test, MVR check, and physical.
Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including:
- Standing for prolonged periods of time.
