Salary Position

 Pay Range: $83K -$104K (based on experience)

Job Description:

  • Aid in layout of building structure, partitions and other portions of the work.
  • Contribute to management of tasks in accordance with company & contract guidelines.
  • As required, maintain daily logs to document all jobsite activities and events.
  • Assist in submittal and shop drawing review as assigned.
  • Learn to coordinate many different activities.
  • Use technology (hard & software) to accomplish tasks.
  • Maintain a working relationship with entire project delivery team.
  • Communicate with project team members to allow for maximum efficiency.
  • Help implement & maintain quality control programs & life safety checkout procedures.
  • Review tasks completed by you as well as by those you lead, and review for inefficiencies.
  • Assist Superintendent and Project Manager with various assigned tasks.
  • Lead all assigned field personnel for effective accomplishment of designated tasks.
  • As required, lead field operations of trade partners to successfully complete work.
  • Assisting in field surveying and work layout support.
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of onsite equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis.
  • Diagnosing construction or machinery problems.
  • Resolving malfunctions and any other emergencies when they arise.
  • Participate in learning activities to develop your skills.
  • Teach others to complete their tasks effectively.

Requirements:

  • Preferably, a degree in Building Science, Construction Management or Civil Engineering, OR a combination of experience and other relevant degree.
  • Having co-op/intern experience is a plus and healthcare construction experience is preferred.
  • Good written and oral communications.
  • Ability to read, analyze, & interpret safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports & correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of trade partners & project team members.
  • Advanced analytical & reading skills
  • Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Ability to calculate figures & amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference & volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra & geometry.
  • Use of basic reasoning and ability to resolve issues quickly with little or no direction.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule format.
  • OSHA 10 Hour certification required. If not current, required to receive within the first year of employment and keep current.
  • Basic understanding of blueprint reading.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical/plumbing and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of industry safety procedures and AHCA regulations.
  • Able to frequently stand; walk; use hands to handle/feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands & arms.
  • Able to occasionally climb or balance & stoop or kneel.
  • Able to regularly lift/move up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Distance and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to regularly work in outside weather conditions, frequently near moving mechanical parts and occasionally work in high, precarious places and handle exposure to wet/humid conditions.
