360X Staffing is hiring for a Marine Outside Machinist in Jacksonville, FL.

Pay: $28/hr + $120 daily per diem for days worked

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled Marine Outside Machinist specializing in ship propulsion systems repairs, MMR reduction, and Gear Clutch repair to join our team working on DOD (Navy) ships in Jacksonville, Florida. The role will focus on ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of ship propulsion systems and related components.

Responsibilities:
 
- Specialize in the repair and maintenance of ship propulsion systems, MMR reduction, and Gear Clutch units
- Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on propulsion system components
- Perform preventative maintenance and repair tasks to optimize ship propulsion efficiency
- Collaborate with the team to assess and address propulsion system issues promptly
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance work meets Navy specifications and safety standards
- Adhere to established procedures and guidelines for ship propulsion system repairs
 
Requirements:
 
- Proven experience as a Marine Outside Machinist specializing in ship propulsion systems repairs
- Expertise in MMR reduction and Gear Clutch repair on naval vessels
- Knowledge of ship propulsion systems, components, and maintenance procedures
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve propulsion system issues
- Certification or training in marine engineering or related field is preferred
- Attention to detail, precision, and commitment to quality workmanship
- Physical stamina and dexterity to work in demanding marine environments

 

Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (50-60 hrs/week)
