Enscicon is hiring for several local industrial millwrights for an upcoming, long-term outage project in Umatilla, Oregon. This will be a 4+ year-long project, with an average work schedule of 5 10's.
Position Summary:
The Millwright is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment in our client's facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. OSHA 10 is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine proper work procedures.
- Install, assemble, and disassemble machinery and equipment according to specifications.
- Align machines and equipment using precision measuring tools and techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other tradespeople to complete projects and repairs.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work.
Qualifications:
- Candidates should live within 60 miles of Umatilla, OR. Mileage reimbursement may be available to candidates who live between 60-90 miles from this location.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a millwright or in a similar mechanical role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions.
- OSHA 10
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with specific types of machinery used in power generation facilities.
- Certification in rigging, welding, or other related trades.
Compensation/Benefits:
- Pay:$47-$60/hour, depending on experience
