PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for recruiting qualified candidates for open Project Based Positions. Key areas of focus will be construction craft.
  • Conduct telephone interviews, initial screening interviews, testing, and negotiating to bring offers to a close throughout the company.
  • Work with hiring managers to identify and track skill sets necessary for open positions.
  • Follow Bowen hiring process with completed job applications and background searches as required.
  • Create, maintain, and engage an active pipeline of potential future candidates.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers as needed.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience while ensuring internal customers (hiring managers) have the level of service needed to staff their roles.
  • Participate with company new hire onboarding program which will include completing new hire paperwork, safety orientation, and establishing onsite expectations to support site team on an as needed basis.
  • Manage Bowen Applicant Tracking Module
  • Determine advertisement and social media strategy with hiring manager and coordinate efforts via Bowen Marketing Team
  • Participate in the oversight of area employment agencies, preparation and liaison with advertising agencies, processing and checking advertising agency billings, liaison with temporary agencies, and recording status of authorized positions within the corporations.
  • Review any resumes that are presented via Bowen website or others means of delivery and input into Bowen employee system for tracking of skills and experience.
  • Archive all documents in accordance with Bowen policies and applicable laws.
  • Monitor, research and stay abreast on industry recruiting trends and revise strategy for new or improved practices.
  • Develop, track, update, and report on recruiting KPI(s)

  • Responsible for fully participating in health, safety, quality and environmental processes.
  • Evaluation of craft skills and modifying skills search in coordination with project team and hiring manager.
  • Collaborate with Operations leaders to determine workforce planning needs and expectations, gaining advanced knowledge of current and future construction projects.
  • Conduct in depth research on wages, housing, and fringe benefits as needed.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of relevant recruiting experience of craft (up to and including Superintendent level position) for construction of industrial, utility (water, wastewater, sewer).
  • Spanish / English speaking, essential.
  • Expertise with social media, various sourcing strategies, and database services recruiting.
  • Computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications and personnel tracking database
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment and handle high volume recruitment.
  • Ability to develop a strong knowledge of all project positions in the company.
  • Basic understanding of the company's organizational structure
  • Knowledge of personnel policy/procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
  • Available for short term travel to project sites. Project Assignment: Nashville, TN
  • Construction Recruiting Experience, in multiple geographies (TN, GA, NC, SC preferred)
  • Work productively and meet deadlines timely.
  • Work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of the NCCER, a plus
