We are seeking a candidate who can read and interpret blueprints and assist in planning or modifying installations to minimize material waste and allow for future maintenance. The successful applicant will prepare sketches or follow diagrams to ensure proper wiring placement, install conduit, splice wires, and connect wiring to fixtures and equipment using hand and power tools. You will install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels, pull and connect cables, and test equipment for safety and compatibility.
Additional responsibilities include disassembling defective equipment, maintaining tools and work areas, and performing minor maintenance. This role requires working around hazardous wiring, climbing ladders, traversing uneven terrain, and safely operating tools and equipment. A minimum of 48 months of industrial construction experience is typically required, along with strict adherence to safety procedures.
