Job Description

3 to 5 years of experience in the ship/boat building industry welding aluminum and carbon steel
Must be able to read blueprints.
Must be able to set up own equipment, tack, distribute heat evenly with a clean bead.
Must be able to pass a Pre-Employment Mock Weld Test.
Possess strong attention to detail in order to aid strong quality assurance program.
Excellent math skills with the ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Must be able to weld aluminum and carbon steel proficiently.
Ability to fix a defected weld.
Must be able to weld in any position (uphill, horizontal, vertical, or flat)
Ability to operate power equipment safely and comply with all safety standards.
Demonstrates strong work ethic, good communication skills, and works well with others.
Must be able to pass 3G-4G structure plate test that requires bend test for results within 90 days of employment.
be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders and enter confined spaces to complete tasks.
