Summit Skilled Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Millwright/Valve Tech for a 3-day shutdown in Seville, OH starting next Tuesday May 6th-8th. This will be working 3/12s 7a-7p Tue-Thur.
Maintenance Millwright/Valve Tech Responsibilities
The industrial maintenance electrician performs electrical work in the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, service , trouble shooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures and related electro-mechanical systems by inspecting and testing elements of electrical systems to locate and diagnose faults and malfunctions, performing required repairs through replacement of inoperative parts or re-wiring of circuits in accordance with applicable Electrical Industry Codes. This position does not have direct reports.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect, repair, troubleshoot, remove, install, operate and assemble complex pumps, motors, compressors, heat exchangers, chemical handling systems and related components
- Able to replace electrical bucket components like fuses, breakers, soft starts, Vfd, Etc
- Remove, replace, repair hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanically operated valves
- Remove and install electronic and mechanical instrumentation devices
- Cut, thread and fit piping systems
- Operate various tools including hand tools, pneumatic and electric tools
- Able to operate welders
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Have knowledge of some electrical components such as electrically connecting motors.
- Able to replace electrical bucket components like fuses, breakers, soft starts, Vfd, Etc
- Complete wiring for motors, lights
- Follow all safety guidelines and complete incident reports immediately when required
- Complete Monthly Safety Training on time
- Perform general housekeeping in the maintenance shop and throughout the facility
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Able to work any shift, including overtime and weekend on call as required ?

Maintenance Millwright/Valve Requirements
- 5 years of maintenance experience in a chemical manufacturer
- Knowledge of valves and valve repair
- Basic knowledge of PLC systems/operation
- Ability to use a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment
- Must be able to operate forklift trucks, man-lift equipment and other mobile equipment
- Basic pipefitting, plumbing, and welding skills
- General knowledge of plant operational automation
- Ability to work rotating shifts and to be available for weekend shifts and/or call-ins
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose processes and equipment problems
- Experience in reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, process P&ID ?
- Experience and basic understanding of power distribution it’s circuitry and control
- Must have ability to rebuild mechanical components
- Must have ability to troubleshoot electric and controls 480V and below
