We are seeking a skilled and motivated Shipfitters to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing ship components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and quality of maritime projects while adhering to safety standards. Job Title: Shipfitter
Wages:
- $32.00/Hr
- $150.00/day Per Diem offered, if eligible
- $1000 sign-on Bonus
Shift:
- Must be able to work any shift
Job Functions:
- Work independently according to instructions, rules and other standards.
- Frequently utilizes a variety of shipbuilding tools (grinders, torches, etc.)
- Frequently reads shipbuilding blueprints and other technical documents
- Frequently responsible for basic plate and stiffener assembly
- Frequently responsible for large panel and double bottom production, including pre-outfitting
- Frequently responsible for web line production, including plate cutting
Requirements:
- 4 Years experience in shipyards with shipbuilding production or ship repair businesses with manufacturing of heavy steel structures production of pressure vessels, boilers and other similar quality products welding and fitting, hand tools and industrial safety
- Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints
- Drug screen and background check required
**Must successfully pass 1st Class Skill Test in Pascagoula MS or Philadelphia, PA**
