Interpret electrical drawings, sketches, plans, and software to determine appropriate work procedures, tools, and equipment.

Measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble, and install electrical conduit.

Install cable, duct banks, and electrical supports; weld supports as required.

Install and terminate electrical wiring and equipment.

Install control and electrical distribution apparatus and securely fasten equipment in place.

Pull wire and cable through conduit and connect wiring to lighting fixtures, power equipment, and other electrical components.

Test, troubleshoot, and start up electrical systems to verify proper operation, circuit continuity, compatibility, and safety.

Observe installed equipment and systems to identify hazards, malfunctions, or the need for adjustment, relocation, or replacement.

Disassemble, repair, and replace defective electrical equipment and systems.

Operate a variety of electrical and mechanical hand tools, power tools, hydraulic tools, pneumatic tools, and other trade-specific equipment.

Follow and enforce all applicable NEC requirements, local electrical codes, OSHA standards, and company safety procedures.

Stay current with changes in electrical codes, industry standards, and best practices.
