Position: Assembly Mechanic - Aircraft
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Assembly Mechanic to join our fuselage department. This role requires assembling, installing, and inspecting aircraft fuselage components, ensuring they meet exacting standards of quality and safety. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in sheet metal fabrication and a deep understanding of aircraft structural assembly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble, seal, and install structural components and systems as per drawings and specifications.
- Perform precision drilling, riveting, and fastening tasks on aircraft skin panels and interior structures.
- Install and remove Hi-Locs, bushings, and freeze plugs in accordance with quality control requirements.
- Conduct functional tests, and troubleshoot assemblies for fit, form, and function.
- Read, interpret, and execute plans from technical drawings and blueprints.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication and aircraft assembly.
- Proficient in riveting techniques and the use of related tools.
- Ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Relevant technical training or certification in aircraft maintenance or a related field.
