Trillium Construction is now seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a temp to full-time position in San Antonio, TX!

Work schedule is Monday - Friday from 7:00am-5:00pm with occasional overtime. Pay will depend on experience and is starts at $26/hour and up! No per diem offered for this position.

Job Description Summary:

· Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.
· Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures.
· Analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuild and maintain equipment.
· Operate and inspect machines and equipment to diagnose defects.
· Dismantle and reassemble equipment, using hoists as well as hand power tools.
· Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.
· Replace defective engines and sub-assemblies, such as transmissions, electric motors, drums, seals, hydraulic pumps, valves, pistons, rods, gears, etc.
· Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency (must be able to operate all equipment).
· Weld broken parts and structural members.
· May direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.
· Maintains and repairs heavy equipment, trucks, shop, and non-mobile equipment on a company-wide basis.
· Services vehicles and equipment to include oil changes, greasing, adding fluids, changing filters and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of related experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair, including diesels, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
  • Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings
