City Experiences is seeking a Shipyard Electrician for our Puerto Rico Ferry operation in San Juan .

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

Organize and direct maintenance and repair of electrical systems, services, and equipment for
the district. Maintain and provide for the safe condition and operation of all electrical fixtures and systems in district facilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform general electrical maintenance.
• Identify electrical problems with a variety of testing devices.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and test electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
• Run wiring and raceways through vessel hull compartments, ceilings, decks, and bulkheads.
• Install and repair wiring, control, lighting, and all other electrical systems.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Build, fabricate, and assemble required electrical outfitting components.
• Build, fabricate, and assemble breakers.
• Read and understand blueprints or technical diagrams to diagnose and solve electrical problems.
• Safely rip-out existing electrical systems and perform overhauls or upgrades.
• Tape or otherwise protect surrounding surfaces such as decks, hardware, windows during the work
process.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures.
• Follow defined instructions and procedures in performance of tasks.
• Work in confined spaces or aloft on intricate electrical wiring.
• Able to work cooperatively with other department personnel.
• Direct and train workers to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment.
• Keep the Supervisor and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client
relations.
• Work with complex marine electrical systems, including but not limited to automation, PLC's, ESS's,
and other "green" technologies.
• Follow state and local regulations based on the National Electric Code.
• Attention to detail: Must perform all tasks in compliance with regulatory agency standards such as
USCG.
• Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean work area.
• Assists with general operations of the yard, including but not limited to:
o Removal of vessels from water using movable lift crane
o Moving vessels in the yard
o Positioning and securing blocking at the bottom and sides of the vessel according to size, weight, and weight distribution of vessels, using fasteners, hand tools and power tools.
• Conduct yourself with a positive and contagious attitude for others to emulate
• Holds yourself and all employees accountable to the Environmental, Safety and Quality Respect and SMS systems of the organization and to work closely with the Manager of ISO/Respect & Training to implement such systems, plans and control of records and documentation.
• Travel to project sites within the US and internationally as needed Other Duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Experience working on construction sites and with power tools.
• Completion of electrician apprenticeship
• Experience working as an
• High school diploma
• Knowledge of NEC
• Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints and maintenance and repair
• Knowledge of construction site best practices and safety procedures
• Must have experience working in the marine or construction field.
• Experience working in a team and operational environment.
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to travel to jobs at different sites.
• Electrician degree from a technical college, preferred.
• Industry safety training, such as OSHA 10/30
• Experience in the renewable energy field, preferred.
• Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
