The Position:

We are looking for an Industrial Civil Supervisor with a wide variety of abilities to complement our experienced workforce in the Petro - Chemical environment located in the Lebanon, Indiana area.   

Job Description

The Industrial Civil Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring all civil and structural work meets project specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. The Supervisor will be required to perform and/or participate in audits or surveillance of activities, have a strong background in industrial construction, excavation, concrete, and site development with a focus on detailed documentation and field verification. Generate reports of conditions found during inspection activities, notifies operations and Site/Project Manager of significant problems, and completes documentation necessary to attest to satisfactory completion of all inspections. or test activities. 

Applicants should have the ability to:

 

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of civil work, including but not limited to, excavating, trenching, sloping, benching, shoring, form work, rebar, concrete placement, backfilling, and any other earth working activities.
  • Ensure all aspects of civil construction complies with any safety procedures & guidelines.
  • Ensure all installation of civil construction comply with associated drawings and specifications.
  • Read and interpret civil blueprints and/ or drawings.
  • Oversee permitting and inspections processes.
  • Progress reporting including but not limited to, daily construction reports, daily headcounts, assist in weekly construction update letters, weekly update meetings, etc.
  • Assist in schedule updates and pre-planning of work fronts to maintain productive and efficient installation processes.
  • Attend client meetings as a spokesperson for ISC.
  • Provide clear communication, guidance, and internal team meetings.
  • Ensure that all crews have proper tools, material, and equipment for each task.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial or civil construction
  • Strong knowledge of concrete, earthwork, foundations, and structural civil practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in field documentation
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and industrial jobsite environments.
  • Achieved or working towards NCCER accreditation in Industrial Carpentry or Commercial Carpentry. New Hires will have 6 months to pass NCCER assessment.
  • Candidates for this position should have (4) year’s related experience in Industrial Carpentry or Commercial Carpentry work.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects.
  • Climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects while carrying tools and equipment.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

Safety - Able to wear Personal Protective Equipment listed below:

  Provided by ISC

  • Hard hat
  • Protective eyewear: Monogoggles, safety glasses, face shield
  • Hearing protection
  • Fall protection harness
  • Protective gloves

Associate responsibility

  • Protective footwear: must meet ANSI Z41.1 at a minimum
  • Corrective eyewear: must meet ANSI Z87.1 or can wear eye protection that meets ANSI Z87.1 over non-ANSI Z87.1 corrective eyewear
