Job Title: Journeyman Electrician (Commercial Renovation)
Location: North Austin Area, TX (Project-based)
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team for commercial renovation projects, with an immediate focus on an inside medical office space renovation in the North Austin area. The ideal candidate will be a licensed professional capable of executing all aspects of commercial electrical work, ensuring high-quality installations and adherence to safety standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform all electrical tasks related to the renovation of commercial medical office spaces.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring, conduit, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local Austin/Texas electrical codes.
- Collaborate effectively with the project manager, other trades, and on-site personnel to ensure seamless project flow.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all company and site-specific safety protocols.
- Complete work efficiently and to the highest quality standards within established timelines.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Journeyman Electrician License (hard requirement).
- Proven experience in commercial electrical renovation projects, specifically inside building work.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems in a medical office or similar sensitive commercial environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in installing conduit, pulling wire, and performing electrical terminations.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Must have own hand tools and reliable transportation.
