Job Overview
We are hiring a Quality Technician to support a manufacturing facility in Richmond, VA. This is a hands-on quality role focused on inspection, documentation, and supporting production teams to ensure products meet quality standards. Ideal candidates will have manufacturing inspection experience and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections of products and materials
- Measure and test parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Read and interpret specifications and quality standards
- Identify and document non-conforming materials
- Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions
- Maintain inspection records and quality documentation
- Conduct production audits to ensure compliance
- Collaborate with production teams to reduce defects
- Assist with incoming material inspections
- Follow quality and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of quality, manufacturing, or inspection experience
- Experience using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Ability to read specifications and inspection standards
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to work independently and on a team
- Basic computer skills (Excel or ERP preferred)
- ISO or quality system experience preferred
- Root Cause Analysis experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Stand, bend, and reach throughout shift
- Perform detailed inspection work
- Work in manufacturing/warehouse environment
Work Environment
- Manufacturing production floor
- PPE required (steel toe boots, safety glasses, gloves)
- Exposure to machinery and moving equipment
Compensation & Travel
$30 per hour
$45 per day per diem
