Construction Engineering Executive sought to establish Planning Role at Northeast US office of Energy from Waste Operations Organization – seeking Senior Project Director with Preconstruction, Project Execution and Commissioning skills to develop and direct the strategic planning of multiple ongoing and future projects:

  • Lead the development of overall project execution strategies, schedules and estimates, including establishing accountability with Project teams for Operating Plant Upgrades and occasionally New Construction
  • Create and oversee coordination of functional strategies and specific objectives for the Project Planning group, including development of budgets/policies/procedures

Planning will be for multiple potential and ongoing, recurring and unique, mainly small to medium size, mostly domestic upgrade/maintenance projects at power production facilities, and occasional new construction. Travel to monitor projects, communication with Business Development, Construction and Corporation teams makes this a 50% travel position.

A successful record of similar Construction Project Planning at an executive level, including Construction Management of EfW or Solid Fuel/Combustion Power Plant projects, demonstrable leadership and the ability to produce excellent strategy regarding potential and ongoing projects from design and financial documents and site visits, is required. An Engineering degree, Business Degree, PE or PMP is not required but that level of knowledge is part of this job. Mix of Operating Organization/EPC or Contractor experience could work well as preparation for this role.
