Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Carpenter Foreman to lead and supervise rough carpentry crews on a variety of construction projects. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong technical skills in rough carpentry and the ability to coordinate, train, and motivate a team while ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and safe job-site operations.
Lead and supervise crews performing rough carpentry tasks, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
Oversee construction and installation of sign structures, stairs, handrails, framing, and other rough carpentry assemblies.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to plan daily work activities.
Coordinate labor, materials, and equipment needed to complete assigned tasks.
Perform hands-on carpentry work alongside the crew as needed.
Conduct daily safety meetings and uphold company safety procedures.
Ensure work is completed on schedule and assist in resolving job-site issues.
Communicate progress, needs, and challenges to project management and leadership.
Train and mentor carpenters and laborers to build skillsets and maintain high performance.
Inspect completed work for compliance with project plans and quality standards.
5+ years of experience in rough carpentry, including framing, stair and handrail construction, and structural/architectural sign building.
2+ years of experience supervising carpentry crews.
Strong understanding of construction methods, tools, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Solid leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various outdoor conditions.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
