Schedule: Full-time | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM | Onsite | Overtime Available
Pay Rate: $42–$45/hr based on experience + built-in overtime

About the Role

BlueWave Resource Partners is hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician to support one of the most innovative and fast-paced engineering environments in Long Beach, CA. This is the senior-most technician role onsite, supporting a large-scale facility that’s growing rapidly—from 10 to 80+ staff—and plays a key role in recovery operations.

This position is ideal for a hands-on, well-rounded technician who thrives in a dynamic environment and is comfortable leading by example. You'll split your time between general facility maintenance (40%) and managing small construction projects (60%) such as office builds, conference room upgrades, drywall, framing, and more.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

• Lead and execute small construction jobs: ceiling tile replacement, concrete pads, framing, drywall, minor remodeling

• Troubleshoot and maintain facility systems including air compressors, chilled water systems, and basic electrical

• Work independently and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision

• Coordinate with leadership on scheduling, materials, and timelines

• Support occasional weekend work and extended hours when needed

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities maintenance or construction experience

• Hands-on expertise in HVAC, plumbing, framing, drywall, and general repairs

• Demonstrated ability to run small construction projects independently

• Strong leadership skills—comfortable being the go-to person on-site

• Ability to work early shifts (5 AM start), flexible for overtime/weekends

• Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, logistics, or similar high-demand environments a plus

• Must be reliable, self-motivated, and safety-minded
