Electrical Foreman - QA/QC

Location: Chesterfield, VA
Employment Type: Full-Time / Project-Based
Schedule: 60–70+ Hours per Week

Pay & Benefits

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Foreman with strong QA/QC experience to support a large-scale industrial electrical construction project in Chesterfield, VA. This role is ideal for a foreman who not only understands how to lead crews and execute work in the field, but also takes pride in installation quality, documentation, and ensuring work is completed correctly the first time.

The ideal candidate will have a strong industrial electrical background and be comfortable overseeing electrical installations while maintaining strict quality control standards across all active work fronts.

Core Responsibilities

• Ensure all electrical work is installed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable NEC requirements
• Perform continuous field verification of installations including conduit, cable tray, supports, panels, terminations, and equipment
• Conduct daily quality checks and proactively identify deficiencies before work is closed or concealed
• Maintain oversight of installed work to ensure alignment with approved submittals and latest revisions
• Track and document all QA/QC observations, punch list items, and corrective actions
• Coordinate directly with field foremen to correct deficiencies in real time
• Verify material usage, installation methods, and workmanship meet project standards
• Maintain clear and organized documentation including inspections, photos, and progress tracking

Reporting and Documentation

• Provide daily QA/QC reports summarizing observations, corrections, and outstanding issues
• Maintain updated punch list tracking with status of open and closed items
• Document all nonconforming work and verify resolution prior to acceptance
• Coordinate with project management on any scope deviations or field changes
• Maintain and update Bluebeam daily to reflect completed work and field progress
• Perform daily review of CXalloy to track, verify, and close out quality items and field observations
• Update and maintain Procore daily documentation, including photos and field progress records as required

Field Expectations

• Be present in active work areas daily and engaged with all major electrical scopes
• Ensure work is installed correctly the first time to minimize rework and delays
• Hold crews accountable to installation standards and quality expectations
• Identify risks early that may impact schedule, safety, or installation quality

Communication

• Communicate clearly and consistently with foremen, construction managers, and project management
• Escalate issues that may impact schedule, cost, or quality without delay
• Ensure alignment between field execution and project documentation requirements

Performance Expectations

• Maintain high standards of installation quality across all work fronts
• Reduce rework through proactive field verification and coordination
• Support schedule adherence by ensuring work is completed correctly and efficiently
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accountability in all QA/QC functions

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Foreman on industrial or large commercial construction projects

  • Strong QA/QC experience within electrical construction environments

  • Proven experience with:

    • EMT, Rigid, and cable tray installations

    • Electrical equipment installation and terminations

    • Blueprint, schematic, and specification interpretation

    • NEC compliance and installation standards

  • Experience using Bluebeam, Procore, and/or CXalloy preferred

  • Strong documentation and organizational skills

  • Ability to lead crews while maintaining production and quality standards

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced industrial environments with overtime schedules

  • OSHA 10 (within 3 years) or OSHA 30 (within 5 years) preferred

  • Must be willing to work in the field daily and remain actively engaged with crews and installations
