Condustrial is actively seeking experienced Commercial Pipe Layers to join our underground utility crews. This is a long-term opportunity with steady overtime for dependable professionals experienced in installing water, sewer, and storm drainage systems. Project located in Salt Lak City, Utah.
We are looking for candidates who take pride in their craftsmanship, understand proper grading and pipe installation techniques, and can work effectively alongside operators, foremen, and project teams to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
Compensation
- $25 – $35 per hour (based on experience)
- $101 per day per diem for travelers (paid 7 days per week)

Key Responsibilities
- Install ductile iron and PVC pipe for underground water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
- Work with pipe sizes typically ranging from 8” to 24”
- Ensure proper pipe alignment, bedding, joint sealing, and grade
- Assist with grade checks using stakes, levels, or laser equipment
- Collaborate with equipment operators and foremen to maintain project timelines
- Maintain clean, organized trenches and assist with material placement
- Follow all jobsite safety protocols, including trench safety and excavation standards
- Safely handle pipe, fittings, and tools required for underground utility installation
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of underground utility pipe laying experience
- Experience installing ductile iron and PVC piping systems
- Familiarity with bell-and-spigot jointing methods
- Experience with Victaulic grooved piping systems and mechanical couplings (preferred)
- Ability to read grade stakes and work with laser levels
- Ability to work in trenches and outdoor construction environments
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality
Requirements
- OSHA 10 Certification (Required before starting)
- Steel-toe boots required
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening if required by project
- Must have reliable transportation to the jobsite
