Job Description: Welder
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
- Must have experience with Stainless and Flux
- FCAW
- Successfully pass a bend test in the 3G and 4G positions
- Primarily responsible for using electrical currents to fuse metals like steel together to repair parts or build new components.
- Climbing stairs and/or vertical ladders of varying heights.
- Working in confined work areas and/or elevated heights.
- Must have or be eligible for a TWIC card.
- Grind barge & boat repair areas, internal compartments & cargo tanks, and external surface areas in preparation for welding.
- Weld barge & boat repair areas, internal compartments & cargo tanks, external surface areas, and specialty components & areas with the required number of passes to achieve full penetration welds.
- Operate welding & grinding equipment, blowers, hoses, etc., to accomplish weld & repair duties.
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 based on experience
Must be available for day and night shift

This role involves working under extreme hot or cold conditions and requires the physical ability to stand for the entire shift, use hands for various tasks, ascend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. Team members must occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close, distant, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
