Job Title: Yard Dog (CDL Class A Required)

Location: Marion, Arkansas
$25/hour + $35/day Per Diem
Hotel Paid | Travel Reimbursed | Weekly Pay

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Dog with a valid Class A CDL to join our logistics and warehouse team. The Yard Dog will be responsible for moving trailers within the yard, performing pre-trip inspections, and supporting overall yard organization and trailer inventory. This is a non-road driving position focused on efficient trailer movement on company property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a yard truck to move trailers between dock doors, staging areas, and drop lots

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of yard trucks and trailers

• Spot trailers at designated loading docks and ensure accurate trailer placement

• Maintain an organized yard by managing trailer flow and minimizing congestion

• Communicate with warehouse personnel, dispatch, and gate guards to coordinate trailer movements

• Maintain accurate records of trailer moves and equipment locations

• Monitor and report any equipment defects or safety issues

• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies at all times

• Occasionally drive on public roads (if needed), based on operational requirements

Requirements:

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)

• Minimum of 1 year recent CDL driving experience 

• Strong understanding of yard operations and trailer spotting

• Ability to safely maneuver trailers in tight spaces

• Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Good communication skills and attention to detail

• Previous experience as a yard jockey, yard hostler, or switcher
