Introducing Nestlé Purina's new Williamsburg Township, Ohio, factory - just 30 miles east of Cincinnati. Nestlé Purina Maintenance is seeking to build a team of Electromechanical Technicians (Industrial Electricians) that will help to maintain, troubleshoot, repair and modify production equipment with a focus on electrical and automation systems. Occasional tasks could involve infrastructure/building and grounds work. Day to day, you will work with production and maintenance personnel to solve problems and implement solutions quickly to keep factory assets operating efficiently.

These are full-time positions with shift options for either 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am, operating on 2-2-3 schedule (two days on, two days off, three days on). The first several months of this position will require travel for training purposes to other Nestlé Purina factory locations.

The starting pay for this position is $36.00/hr., with a strategic Maintenance Progression Plan that provides for increasing wages up to $42.00/hr., based on knowledge/skill demonstration, technical assessments and performance reviews. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Remain proficient with the operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of industrial electrical control systems, electromechanical systems and fluid power
  • Understand how automated equipment and its components work; utilize knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) to troubleshoot production equipment without modifying programming
  • Properly use mechanical and electrical tools and diagnostic instruments
  • Work independently and collaboratively to maintain equipment and solve technical problems
  • Remain proficient at utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other digital tools
  • Utilize basic rigging, mechanical practices, pipefitting and welding skills in an industrial environment
  • Perform all tasks with safety and food safety best practices
  • Utilize knowledge and skills to train other employees
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as directed
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent with 3+ years of industrial electrical/mechanical experience that includes knowledge in PLC troubleshooting, VFDs, ladder logic, motors and electrical maintenance, etc., in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment
OR
  • Technical degree or certification with 1+ year of relevant industrial electrical experience
OTHER
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for training purposes to other Nestle Purina factory locations

The approximate starting hourly pay for this position is $36.00 an hour for Electromechanic Technician C. The pay progression plan follows: Electromechanic Technician B $39.00, Electromechanic Technician A $42.00. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
