Seeking Crane Mechanic for temp-to-hire position in West Chester, OH with a reputable Facility Maintenance Company. Great opportunity with benefits, employee perks, and potential for long-term career!

  • Shifts will be 8+ hour days 
  • Work is Monday through Friday (approximately 40+ hours per week) 
  • Pay is $30/hr. and based upon experience and the results of an interview 
  • This is a temp-to-hire position; seeking candidates who are looking for long-term work

Crane Mechanic Job Description:

  • Perform preventative and routine maintenance in industrial establishment 
  • Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options on runway rail systems, overhead cranes, hoist, jib, gantry, bridge, shuttlelift, and monorail systems 
  • Use Computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) for management analysis 
  • Perform approved preventive maintenance procedures on facility equipment as assigned by approved work orders 
  • Perform crane safety and maintenance inspections per OSHA (29 CFR 1910.179) 
  • Troubleshoot to determine root cause of failure and appropriate corrective maintenance and perform variable repairs 
  • Maintain all maintenance records of all work including inspections, maintenance, repairs, relocations and modifications for in house, self-performed, and subcontracted maintenance work 
  • Performs all other duties as deemed necessary by the site manager and/or Client

Requirements for Crane Mechanic:

  • Must have Associates degree or technical school equivalent 
  • Must have 5+ years' related experience and/or training in crane maintenance 
  • Must have experience with the use of fall protection 
  • Must be knowledgeable and have experience working with a variety of overhead crane types (hoist, jib, gantry, boom, bridge, and monorail) and their components 
  • Must be able to perform all standard safety precautions as applied to cranes and their operations such as inspection safety guidelines, Lock Out/Tag Out, fall protection, shutdown conditions, rated load tests, and safety spotters/barriers) 
  • Must be able to dismantle and reassemble crane/hoist equipment and components 
  • Must be able to inspect and determine operations condition of equipment 
  • Must have the knowledge and ability to work with controls and control devices 
  • Must be able to plan and schedule work 
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondences, and procedure manuals 
  • Must be able to read schematics, blueprints, and document changes or modifications 
  • Must be able to respond on short notice and after normal duty hours to emergency repairs

Additional Requirements for Crane Mechanic:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States 
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job site 
  • Applicants will be subject to pre-employment drug screen

  • Applicants will be subject to Motor Vehicle Report
