  • Shifts will be first shift (8+ hour shifts)
  • Work is Monday thru Friday (approximately 40+ hours per week)
  • Pay is $22+/hr. and based upon experience
  • This is a long-term contract with potential for temp-to-hire

Journeyman Trim/Finish Carpenter Job Description:

  • Perform high-end millwork and trim/finish carpentry for new construction of a jail/corrections center in New Braunfels, TX
  • Install plastic laminate casework and solid surface tops
  • Install Division 10 (ADA compliant) bathroom partitions and accessories
  • Install interior trims, wall and ceiling panels, staircases, decking, furniture pieces, etc.
  • Additional carpentry duties include but are not limited to following blueprints, cutting, installing structures and fixtures, and all other tasks associated with finish carpentry
  • Measure materials or distances using square, measuring tape, or rule to lay out work
  • Erect scaffolding or ladders for performing finish work above ground level
  • Exhibit a working knowledge of equipment, materials, and tools for carpentry
  • Follow all established safety rules and regulations
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Complete all other tasks as assignment by Foreman

Requirements for Journeyman Trim/Finish Carpenter:

  • Must have 3+ years' trim/finish carpentry experience in commercial construction
  • OSHA 10 Construction Certification required (may obtain prior to placement)
  • Experience performing Division 10 (ADA compliant) construction is highly preferred
  • Experience installing stone tops is highly preferred
  • Must be knowledgeable and up to date on building codes and regulations
  • Must be able to work off construction blueprints and/or instructions from supervisors
  • Must be able to abide by all established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Must be mechanically inclined and be able to use all hand/power tools
  • Must have all PPE and carpentry trade tools
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted, work at heights, and in inclement weather
  • Must be able to work all shifts as scheduled; seeking reliable individuals

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
