Field Service Supervisor – Service Truck Technician
Responsible for driving the service truck to a customer site to respond to an emergency or break-down on rotary equipment. Perform sales calls to existing and potential customers when not responding to break-down situations.
This position is all travel – up to 220-300 days away from home (holidays included) – lots of miles on the road. Work up to twelve (12) hour shifts, in various plants and all-weather conditions. Primary point of contact with the customer during project.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Follow strict safety guidelines (MSHA, OSHA, DOT)
- Handle daily progress reports and potential change orders (service tickets)
- Customer service – primary point of contact while on site (maintain customer relations)
- Communicate well with customer and with internal teams
- Trouble-shoot issues with customer’s equipment
- Diagnose root cause and assist in correcting
- Able to execute small jobs leading customer’s personnel and/or internal personnel
- Examples: support roller change-out, float a unit, perform an inspection, perform crack repair, grinding
- Maintain company truck, trailer, tools, and all other assigned equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License is a must
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must be highly motivated, self-starter
- One to three years of experience and/or training as a Journeyman Machinist, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- High school or trade school in welding or machining is desirable
- Must pass a weld test for stick and MIG
- Must possess strong mechanical aptitude
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must possess basic computer and email skills
- Strong attention to detail required
- Possess strong analytical skills
- Works independently under the pressure of deadline commitments
- Must consistently qualify for DOT medical exam card (annual physical and drug test)
- Must fulfill DOT requirements – max of 70 hours/week, DOT logs for work hours, pre-op inspections, etc.
- Comfortable working at heights (man basket)
- Be able to lift at least 50lbs to shoulder height
Pay and Perks:
- Earn up to $2,120 per week to start – $25/hr. starting pay
- Potential for high yearly income with the additional benefit of a lot of time off (average time off of 10+ weeks per year)
