Our White Pines Landfill is looking for reliable and dependable
Labor/Equipment Operator
to become a valued employee on our teamto support our ongoing success in a family-like environment.
Compensation: $14 - $15 an hour / DOE
This position would be 8-10 hours a day, five to six days a week, working Saturdays as needed.
Description: The position requires some manual labor (raking shoveling picking paper) as well as equipment operating (excavators, loaders, off road dump trucks, backhoes, dozers).
Experience is a bonus, but not required. Training for operator positions is available. Solid attendance is a must.
Responsibilities:
Operate a variety of heavy equipment on site to complete onsite operations
Operate the heavy equipment in a safe manner
Help assist with other various on site operations when instructed by supervisor
Assisting with on site projects such as new cell construction, building/maintaining roads, and dump site
Ensure the equipment is safe and operable pre and post shift
Be able to operate dozers and excavators (required)
Requirements:
Must be able to work every other Saturday
Good communication skills both orally and written
Must be comfortable and able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
Valid drivers license (preferred)
Must be comfortable operating heavy equipment on rough roads/landfill site
