The Tank Foreman is here to help the Operations Manager oversee field crews and equipment. You'll interact with Matrix personnel, QA/QC, and customers. Plus, you'll get to mentor and coach field personnel, which is pretty exciting!
To be successful, you need Above Ground Storage Tanks project experience.
This posting is for multiple field supervision roles at various project sites. Be ready to travel to places like FL, VA, GA, and NC throughout the year!
Essential Functions
- Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its Core Values.
- Represent the Company with high moral standards and follow the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
- Perform system verification on completed systems to ensure correct installation per design specifications.
- Review NDE reports to make sure all code and customer requirements are met.
- Help plan work schedules, determine personnel needs, material quantities, and equipment requirements.
- Supervise craft workers in your area, acting as a liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Monitor work performance and productivity to maintain project rules, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Advise senior superintendents and project management of potential problems and assist in resolving them.
- Ensure adherence to all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, and standards.
- Take on additional responsibilities as directed.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent understanding of Aboveground Storage Tanks, especially Tank Maintenance and Repair experience.
- Experience running a crew is a must.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, or a willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of API standards is preferred.
You’ll need to travel to multiple project sites in different states throughout the year.
