Qualifications and Details about the Position

Description:
• Must be an experienced Journeyman capable of leading and directing other Journeymen and Apprentices perform work in an efficient manner. • Must be knowledgeable in the installation, testing, and maintenance of above ground and underground piping systems in refining and chemical environments for all basic material types including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy, fiberglass, and HDPE; and with associated equipment and appurtenances (pumps, filters, vessels, valves, control valves, mechanical instrumentation, etc.) • Must prioritize the highest level of Safety, Quality and Productivity with their crew. • Must be able to communicate with Client Representatives and Site Leadership to plan, schedule and coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and inspections as needed for any Piping project and other craft associated with the Project. Basic knowledge of both company and client Site-Specific policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: • Manage daily activities of crew to meet expectations set in Project Schedules and Budgets. • Perform job walks with stakeholders to identify resources needed to complete project and be proactive in identifying potential delays and hazards that may be encountered. • Participate in Construction Work Package reviews and meetings associated with their projects. • Track and manage project documentation, company owned tools and equipment plus third-party rentals. • Provide daily updates on progress, scope changes, delays, and discoveries. • Understand safety requirements, ensure crews understand and follow all required safety policies and procedures, and hold them accountable for compliance. • Understand quality requirements and ensure work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications • Responsible for closing out projects and ensuring all work performed is aligned with final documentation provided to the client. Skills and Capabilities: • Skilled journeyman in the pipefitting trade. Graduate of a recognized apprenticeship program or commensurate years of experience as would be required to complete a recognized state or federal apprenticeship program. • Knowledge of piping systems, equipment and appurtenances, including installation, maintenance, testing, and repair procedures • Ability to motivate the crew to achieve goals. • Ability to coach and share knowledge and experience with crews to improve execution of daily activities. • Ability to comprehend and apply technical drawings, provide Material Take Offs and Redline drawings. • Ability to comprehend and enforce Site Specific Policies and Procedures. Ability to be proactive in the planning and execution process to harmonize efficiency of work- flow . Physical Requirements: • Sitting/Standing/Kneeling • Lifting < 50 LBS Travel Requirements: Not Required Preferred for specific projects when available
