One of our high-profile industrial contractor customers has immediate need in Upstate, SC for candidates to fill a position as Industrial Project Manager / Estimator with heavy Rigging & Millwright experience in Upstate, SC.

Job Summary:

This role involves overseeing complex industrial rigging and millwright projects from inception to completion while also handling estimating responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial rigging, millwright services, and project management, combined with a strong background in estimating and cost analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:
    • Lead and manage heavy industrial rigging and millwright projects from start to finish, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
    • Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, and resource needs.
    • Coordinate and oversee project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  2. Estimating:
    • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for rigging and millwright projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
    • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements and costs.
    • Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
    • Review and interpret contract documents and specifications to ensure compliance with client requirements.
  3. Client and Stakeholder Interaction:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, concerns, and changes in project scope.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
    • Prepare and present project proposals, progress reports, and project deliverables.
  4. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impacts.
    • Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during the project cycle.
  5. Budget and Cost Control:
    • Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost control measures.
    • Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management.
  6. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
    • Prepare and submit project reports, including milestones, delays, and deviations from the original plan.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of [5] years of experience in heavy industrial rigging and millwright services, including project management and estimating.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in rigging, millwright services, or project management (e.g., PMP, OSHA).
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of industrial rigging and millwright practices, tools, and equipment.
    • Proven experience in project management, including planning, execution, and budgeting.
    • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

· Must have a strong background of working with an industrial construction company that performs millwright, rigging and mechanical work for manufacturing facilities (non-residential)

  • Must have a valid US driver’s license & social security card (must be a legal US resident).
  • Must be computer literate and able to work with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook Email, etcetera.
  • Must be physically able to walk a construction site and be on their feet for a full work shift, if/when required.
  • Must be willing to travel in/out of state to individual jobsites, when required.
  • Must be a team player and willing to follow instructions from our current management team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to [75] pounds.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor and industrial settings.
  • Ability to perform tasks that may involve climbing, crouching, and other physical activities.
