We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pipe Layer with experience in underground utility installation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with pipe bending, coupling, and joint sealing. The ideal candidate will also have a strong understanding of trench safety and coordination with equipment operators.
Responsibilities
- Install underground utility piping systems ( storm, sewer, water )
- Bend, couple, and seal joints on various types of pipe, including PVC
- Read and interpret site plans and laser leveling instruments for precise installations
- Ensure trench safety and adherence to OSHA regulations at all times
- Work closely with equipment operators to safely and efficiently lay pipe
- Grade trenches and place pipes to proper elevations and alignment
- Check slopes for conformance to requirements using levels and lasers
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a pipe layer in underground utilities (preferred)
- Proven ability to bend, couple, and seal joints
- Experience with laser leveling and grade checking
- Familiarity with trench safety practices and OSHA standards
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment and coordinating with operators
- PVC pipe installation experience is a strong plus
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliablie, attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Capable of standing, bending, kneeling, and working in trenches for extended periods
- Comfortable with physically demanding and outdoor work environments
Pay - $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
