We are currently seeking a VC Project Engineer who will supervise the VC team on a project level. Will be responsible for coordinating complex building models per project specific PEP (Project Execution Plan). Working models will be used for Owner presentations, clash detection, construction estimating, construction coordination, prefabrication and installation. This will include design, trade coordination, clash detection, model QA/QC, layout and installation coordination. Reports to the VC Project Manager. Depending on specific work assignments, all or any of the below tasks may apply:


  • Lead the CAD and BIM coordination efforts on selected projects from the design stage, pre-fabrication, layout and construction phases.
  • Manage the production and timeline of project BIM deliverables related to the project schedule.
  • Coordinate Corbins Electric BIM models and related submittals through BIM Project Coordination meetings.
  • Perform constructability review and clash detection reports using NavisWorks.  
  • Validate the Corbins Electric QA/QC process for each project
  • Resolve clash detections within internal scopes as well as to identify and rectify/coordinate other contractor’s clashes.
  • Liaison between the Project Team, Design Team, Install Team and other trades for problems and solutions.
  • Resolve conflict issues as they come up between the design and construction documents and intent of project per specification and contract requirements.
  • Interact with the field install team for verification and confirmation of conditions as well as enforcing compliance with model during construction progress.
  • Coordinate the CAD Designer and Layout team workload to ensure that each employee is working at their most efficient rate.
  • Setting production goals for the CAD Design and Layout team and ensure that they are using time productively, maximizing efficiency and meeting their goals.
  • Attend Coordination meetings


  • Diploma Courses or equivalent is required
  • 5+ years’ experience in the electrical field
  • 2+ years’ experience CAD
  • Experience in Project Layout
  • Excellent written and verbal communication ability
  • Organized, systematic and competent to perform detailed tasks
  • Has a strong ability to be a team player and leader
  • Self-starter and motivated to work efficiently and affectively
  • Must possess outstanding interpersonal skills
