RSO West will be hiring qualified tube welders for the fall outage at NES 1&2 in Oologah Oklahoma. There will be numerous projects going on at the same time, including demo and installing a total of 27 inlet and outlet reheater panels.
There will also be a complete demo and installation of the lower slope waterwall changeout along with eight upper waterwall panels. There will also be various other projects to be completed during the outage.
Qualified welders will be required to move around to various projects for support as needed. The work schedule for the duration of the project: 7 12s
Start date 10-28-2024 thru 01-05-2025
Dayshift; 6am to 6pm
Nightshift; 6pm to 6am
There will be scheduled fatigue days for each shift throughout the duration of the project.
Job duties are but not limited to :
Welding and if needed cutting, grinding, milling, prepping tubes or pipe. Setting up work areas, lights, cords, leads and or other equipment. All welds will be 100% Xray.
Weld tests will be performed onsite prior to hire date, weld test as follows.
3 coupons .875” OD x .165”OD mwt. SA213-T2 GTAW 80S B2
1 coupon 2.75”OD x .625”OD mwt. SA106 B GTAW 70S B2 root & hotpass SMAW 7018 A1 fill & cap
