Strike, LLC is seeking a Workday Systems Analyst to join the Business Applications Team. This position is responsible for providing technical support, configuration, and development of various modules and integration systems in the Workday application including, but not limited to, HCM, Core Compensation, Benefits, Absence, as well as reporting. This role is based at Strike’s corporate headquarters in The Woodlands, TX and reports to the Business Applications Manager.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops, deploys, and supports all inbound and outbound integrations from Workday including EIB, Core Connector, Workday Studio, and custom integrations
  • Configures various Workday modules and business processes including, but not limited to, manager and employee self-service, compensation, benefits, time and attendance, and system integrations/interfaces.
  • Understands, documents, and communicates the impact of configuration changes to all business processes and integrations across the platform
  • Develops, documents and tests program development, logic, process flows and specifications
  • Develops test cases recommended for all configuration changes and conducts QA to ensure all requirements have been met
  • Partners with business analysts, support analysts, stakeholders, end users, vendors, and customers by participating in data requirements/process design sessions, data conversions, proof-of-concept, data analysis, audit compliance, regression testing, and end-user testing
  • Analyzes issues, identifies failures, and provides creative solutions related to existing and new features to meet technical and business requirements
  • Tests and deploys changes to the Workday system according to requirements including executing new implementations and deployments of new requirements or enhancements following defined incident and change management processes
  • Assists with data cleanup, extraction, and load data validations
  • Develops and maintains reports, queries, calculated fields, and dashboards as part of assigned projects and support requests
  • Helps maintain data integrity in the systems by developing processes to audit, analyze, resolve, and prevent future issues
  • Serves as an escalation point for Workday production support issues
  • Provides guidance to other team members core technologies and assists with delivering high quality solutions and deliverables/documentation
  • Maintains awareness of current trends with Workday HCM
  • Evaluates solutions and design processes which include user impact considerations, cost and benefit analysis, and processing specifications
  • Performs ongoing monitoring and refinement of supported applications and business processes


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of hands on development and configuration experience in Workday including Workday Studio integrations
  • Experience with at least one full life-cycle implementation of Workday HCM including configuring supervisory orgs, business processes, condition rules, and security
  • Minimum 2 years experience with Workday production support or implementation
  • Minimum 5 years of application development experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years of HRIS experience
  • Familiarity with HR policies, labor laws, and compliance
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to develop custom Workday reports and calculated fields
  • Deep business knowledge of workflows, configuration and system relationships in the area of HR
  • Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures
  • Excellent understanding of business complexity, project interdependencies, and system integrations
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functional areas
  • Demonstrated experience in writing technical requirements and test specifications
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • In depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be extremely detail oriented and organized
  • ITIL experience
