Description

Commercial Electricians with 3 plus years of experience are needed immediately for projects on-base within Cherry Point. You must have the ability to meet the requirements to acquire a base pass. Those that have worked previously at Camp Lejeune will have no problem accessing Cherry Point. Pay is $27.32 per hour

 

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls, terminating motors and devices (sensors, controls, VFD's, etc.) Working knowledge/understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, distribution control, fluidic, and electrical systems/components and operation
  • Perform necessary maintenance tasks including repair or replacement of damaged parts: assemble, install, adjustments, and evaluate
  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks on various forms of manufacturing equipment
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage via CMMS
  • Perform equipment overhauling, including rebuilding and fabrication as needed
  • Perform electrical work on various types of machinery and electrical systems.
  • Install, repair and inspect various industrial electrical machinery and systems
  • Run diagnostic tests and troubleshooting for electrical and mechanical machinery
  • Clean circuit boards and contacts
  • Perform preventative services such as replacing wiring and oiling parts of machinery
  • Test electrical equipment to ensure continuity
  • As assigned, complete tasks supporting and/or maintain records showing compliance with federal, state, and local safety, environmental, and other regulatory agency requirements such as OSHA, UL, and ISO

Qualifications 

  • All work must meet or exceed the current NEC standards
  • Read and interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic blueprints, schematics, and engineering documents
  • Manual dexterity, frequently squat, bend, climb and ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to Read Point-to-Point Wiring Lists
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • A high school diploma and 5 years of related work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience performing work within an Industrial/Manufacturing environment
