Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Injection Mold Process Technician to join our Tier 1 automotive manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing plastic injection molding processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality automotive components. This role requires hands-on experience with a wide range of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust, and monitor plastic injection molding processes for machines ranging from 150T to 3000T.
- Optimize and maintain molding parameters to achieve quality and productivity standards.
- Troubleshoot process and machine-related issues, providing immediate corrective action to maintain production flow.
- Set and adjust robotic programming for part removal and secondary operations using:
- Work with and maintain equipment, including:
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to improve process stability and part quality.
- Document all process changes and maintain accurate setup sheets and production records.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as a Process Technician in an automotive plastic injection molding environment.
- Strong knowledge of thermoplastic processing and mold change procedures.
- Hands-on experience with a high volume of daily mold changes.
- Familiarity with Tier 1 automotive quality standards and lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and machine manuals.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and plastic fumes.
