Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and keeps clean work area for installation of equipment
  • Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, consistent with specifications and local electrical codes.
  • Installs controls and distribution gear, such as switches, panel boards, disconnects and Inverters
  • Analyze proper fastening system for equipment support
  • Terminate wiring and equipment as per code or job specification
  • Connect power cables to equipment such as Disconnects, Panel boards, Inverters, motors, and transformer per manufacturer specs and permitted drawings.
  • Prepares sketches showing location of wiring and equipment, or follows diagrams/blueprints, ensuring that concealed wiring is installed before completion of future walls, ceilings, and flooring.
  • Tests continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments such as Amp probe, clamp meter and voltage meter.
  • Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
  • Installs all solar related components AC and DC electric per plans
  • Installs Solar modules and racking per plans
Skills, Experience, and Knowledge Required

Education
  • High School Degree or GED
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience
  • Vocational School or approved apprenticeship training
Skills & Requirements
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
  • Successful Pre-Employment Drug and Agility tests
  • State-wide travel required

  • Full time onsite
