About This Opportunity:

At Rohner Finishing Systems, we are searching for journeymen level millwrights, steel erectors and industrial sheet metal installers to install Rohner manufactured paint, powder and blast enclosure (see gallery on our website).

Team members will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment in various locations. This role requires extensive travel to construction sites for 7-20 days at a time. The primary duties include reading blueprints, erecting steel structure, assembling machinery components, installing industrial ductwork, and troubleshooting mechanical and structural issues. This position demands a high level of technical expertise, teamwork, adaptability, and strong problem-solving skills.

Compensation:
  • Starting wages 35-45 per/hr. experience dependent

Summary of job duties:
  1. Installation and Assembly: Travel to customer sites to erect and install structural steel components, ductwork and machinery according to specifications and blueprints. This involves setting up machinery components, aligning parts accurately, and ensuring proper function.
  2. Team Collaboration: Work closely with construction teams, including supervisors, engineers, and other tradespeople, to coordinate tasks and ensure efficient project execution.
  3. Quality Assurance: Inspect finished work to verify compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations. Make adjustments or repairs as needed.
  4. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to understand machinery specifications and assembly requirements.
  5. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times. Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with industry standards and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  6. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed. Document any issues encountered and solutions implemented during the course of the job.
  7. Customer Service: Interact with clients professionally, providing excellent customer service throughout the installation, maintenance, and repair processes. Address client concerns and inquiries promptly and effectively.
  8. Travel: Typical travel schedule is 10-12 days away with 4 days at home.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications of training or documented experience in one of the following: millwrighting, steel erector or sheet metal installation.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours as required.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and equipment.
  • Physical stamina to withstand long hours of standing, bending, kneeling and lifting.
  • Comfort working at heights, challenging environments and in confined spaces.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
