Job Description

GLO Resources is currently hiring an experienced Safety Manager to work in Monroe, LA & Shreveport, LA. The pay rate is between $40 - $42 per hour, depending on experience. Per diem can be considered. The schedule is Monday - Friday, 4:00 am – 3:00 pm or 1:00 pm – 11:00 pm (6 x 10s), with occasional overtime depending on project deadlines. Position Summary:
The Safety Manager will support construction crews by visiting project sites and assessing working conditions. The Safety Manager will help identify safety-related issues and risks on project sites. Once risks are identified, the safety manager will work with the project leadership team to design solutions to mitigate exposure to those risks.

Key Responsibilities:
• Inspects the project sites to identify safety risks.
• Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
• Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
• Support safety programs by conducting Audits, JSA's, and program development activities
• Draft inspection reports to document inspection findings.
• Ensures that safety material is maintained and readily accessible when needed.
• Conduct on-the-job training for associates.
• Performs Incident Investigations.
• May be assigned other duties, as necessary.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in environmental safety, Occupational Safety, and Health, or related field required.
• BSCP: STSC required
• CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or IOSH preferred
• 5 years of related experience preferred.
• Efficient in the use of software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Professional.
• Ability to learn Safety software.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in fostering and maintaining relationships in a project team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in written correspondence and technical writing.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check

Physical Requirements:
This position involves regular physical activity, including:
• Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
• Standing and sitting at a desk working on a computer for prolonged periods.
• Frequent bending, kneeling, and crouching.
• Pushing and pulling heavy objects.
• Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds at a time.
