Description

Enscicon is currently hiring apprentice electricians for a utility scale solar project in Northeastern Colorado. At this time, we are looking for candidates in along the Front Range and Northern Colorado Regions only.

Construction on the project will start in early June 2024. We offer competitive pay and full benefits!

PAY BANDS:

Apprentice Electrician - $32.00/hour to $46.00/hour (Wages + Fringe Benefits)

  • Wage Scale depends on prior documented experience.
  • Candidates who are local and do not have experience but are willing to join an electrical apprenticeship are encouraged to apply.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work on various stages of Solar Panel Installation within a utility scale solar farm including:
  • Terminate combiner boxes
  • Panel/LV work
  • Install metering equipment
  • Layout, bend, thread and install conduit
  • Layout and install switchgear, switchboards, and electrical devices
  • Trench and install PVC raceway
  • Pull and terminate direct bury wire
  • Connect and support DC wire
  • Install electrical enclosures
  • Unload and stage material
  • Perform electrical testing and commissioning
  • Safely utilize hand and power tools after proper training (Drills, Crimpers, Cutters, etc.)
  • Work is performed outside, with exposure to various weather conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Must be willing to enter into our electrician apprenticeship program and abide by all rules and regulations. 
  • Familiar with low voltage wiring, fiber installation, with fiber terminations is a plus.
  • In depth knowledge of grounding and bonding is a plus.
  • Experience with troubleshooting electrical equipment, crimping data cables and using PPE properly around electrical equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operation and maintenance instructions, blueprints and schematic drawings, and procedure manuals is a plus.
  • Dependability, strong work ethic, attendance, and punctuality
  • Ability to work in a deadline and task-oriented work environment at a quick pace
