Description Polar Field Services, Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Lead Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Summit Station, Greenland. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking scientific research in the Arctic.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of equipment operators and ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Operate heavy equipment, including loaders, bulldozers, and tractors, for snow removal, construction, and maintenance tasks.
  • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct daily equipment inspections and prepare detailed work reports.
  • Implement and maintain a safe workplace environment.
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • 4+ years of experience as a heavy equipment operator
  • Proficiency in operating loaders, bulldozers, and tractors
  • Experience working and living in remote field sites
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Schedule:
  • 6 days per week, 7 AM to 5 PM
  • Some Sunday work may be required
  • Season runs approximately from April 1st to July 15th or July 15th to September 15th
