We are currently seeking Traffic Control Flaggers - General Laborers to join our team in Newark, DE. As a Traffic Control Flagger - General Laborer, you will be responsible for providing safe, quality guidance to motorists and pedestrians in Aegion and Subsidiaries work zones, while acting in accordance with company values, vision, and mission. The starting pay is $12.00-$15.00 per hour dependent upon experience. Candidates with prior industry experience may be able to negotiate a higher starting rate. We offer 100% paid on-the-job training!

What You'll Do:
  • Perform flagger position duties at job sites in accordance with all applicable traffic safety regulations, training requirements, and Aegion's best practices
  • Give directions to motorists and pedestrians and set-up signs, cones, etc. around work areas to divert traffic
  • Complete daily paperwork accurately and timely
  • Operate a 2-way radio, smartphone applicants, and use stop / slow paddle
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to all customers
  • Work efficiently in a team environment and independently when assigned
What We Need From You:
  • Dependable and reliable transportation to and from work is required
  • Valid driver's license preferred
  • Possession of current Flagger certification (ATSSA) is preferred
  • Comfortable being regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; moving equipment, and machinery parts and working around moving traffic, fumes, airborne particles, and moderate / loud noise levels
  • Ability to lift / move more than 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able to travel weekly (potentially out of state)
