Cypress Employment has a client hiring Structural Fitters for their fabrication shop in Mobile, AL.
There are local positions and in field positions- the in field positions pay $3 added to base pay rate and offer per diem depending on location of job site.
Pay Ranges: $28-$32 based on skill level/ weld test results. After 90 days, an evaluation for pay raise will be done.
The hours are Monday through Friday from 6am-4:30pm. Some weekends may be needed..
This position is 90 days temp to perm.
What We're Looking For
Education & Training
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Vocational training or previous employer training in application tools and techniques preferred
- Must pass our comprehensive written and/or practical skills test
- Willingness to complete our world-class training programs after joining the team
Experience That Counts
Minimum 3 years of fitter work-related experience and/or training required

- Blueprint Reading: Must read blueprints, section and plan drawings, and weld symbols like a pro

Equipment Mastery: Operate arc welding equipment, oxy-fuel cutting tools, grinders, cranes, and more

Confined Spaces: Comfortable working in tight spaces for extended periods
Heights: Work confidently at heights up to 15 feet on various platforms
Physical Endurance: Stand, walk, sit, squat, and kneel as needed throughout the day
